It’s sad to think that the CBGB night club is no longer in business. Who wouldn’t want to be in the same bar room as Joan Jet & the Jetts, Blondie, Patti Smith Group, Talking Heads and so many more famous music legends?
In his new film CBGB, director Randall Miller gives us an inside look of the birth of the famous New York nightclub and the pop culture icons that inhabited the club. The film features a star studded cast including Rupert Grint as Cheeta Chrom, Alan Rickman as the club owner, Malin Ackerman as Debbie Harry, Taylor Hawkins as Iggy Pop, and Mickey Sumner as Patti Smith. Other names such as Ashely Greene also pop up in the cast list.
