Problems with the music industry

This title pretty much explains itself. As a child I grew up listening to The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith.  As years went on my sister listened to the Beatles and Bob Dylan.  I listen to the music from then and wonder what has happened to music?

I admit I am a occasional fan of Katey Perry and Ke$ha, but what happened to real emotion and truly good music.  It seems that today all that is being produced by music companies if wangsters (white gangsters) rapping about how it was so hard breaking free from middle class exile, sluttly ho”s talking about getting wasted, or stupid lyrics about stupid subjects I could care about less (par example: Friday by Rebecca Black).  Its pure shit!

Now I could give you the most basic example of good music, which would be the 60’s and 70’s.  But another good example is Beethoven.  The poor man was blind and listening to his music it actually makes you want to give a standing ovation.  If your looking for good lyrics and a sad and romantic feeling listen to Follow into the dark by Death Cab for Cutie.  They are not as mainstream like most people think.  They have their own sound and they stick to it.
