Finding new music made simple

The biggest problems for music hunters these days is finding new bands.  Of course you can read blogs that have tons of new bands, but do you ever want to find some by yourself?  Here are some solutions.   Tuneglue is an audio map that bases suggestions off of current bands/artists you already like.  Tuneglue was created by the geniuses of Last FM and the team of EMI.  They make finding amazing music a piece of cake.  I highly suggest that everyone uses it.  This site is truly a g-d send for those who are are always on the hunt for new music.

Also, if you want to find people who are unsigned check out Ourstage.com.(http://www.ourstage.com/)  MTV, AOL, Clear Channel, Intel, and Cakewalk are helping thousands of unsigned bands help reach their dreams everyday.  They have several categories ranging from Hip- Hop to Indy pop.  Here are the links to both websites.  I hope you guys find great music on them.

Air Review

So today’s band is Air Review.  In this review I will be focusing more on one of my favorite song of mine Waiting Lessons.  I found this song (via Nylon Blogs) during a really difficult time in my life.  I downloaded it without really checking out, but as time went I listened to it and realized how beautiful the melody and lyrics are.

My favorite part about the song is the intro with the piano and the metaphorical lyrics.  Whenever ever I am in a bad mood and can’t talk to anyone I actually feel like this song can help through anything.  Here is a link to waiting lessons and another song from the band for you:

Kate Earl is the lyrics to my Life

Tonight I was skyping my friend Matt and he sent me this awesome song. The song was called Melody by Kate Earl.  So I don’t have alot of info on her cause she doesn’t need a whole bio of why she’s so cool.  The lyrics are amazing, not to mention the beautiful melody and intoxicating voice.  Her talks about how when you find a song that you love, you find yourself and it makes you whole.  Her lyrics are organic and thoughtful.  It is simply the best song I have heard in a really long time and I really wanted to share it with all of you!!!!  Here is melody by:

Rye Rye

If some of you guys are fans of M.I.A. you are definitely going to like this artist.  Her name is Rye Rye.  Her songs have heavy catchy beats.  She has worked with artists such as M.I.A. and British singer Robyn.  She reminds me of Nicky Minaj but uses more funky beats.  Perfect for those who have Beats headphones.  She is from Baltimore.  You should also check out  ”Sunshine” and “Never will be mine“.

A new kind of Safari with Jinja Safari

Now I pretty much think that safari’s are probably one of the coolest experiences . But we’re not going one right now.   Now Jinja Safari is definitely an experience that is unique.  They use tribal sounding beats to create cute indy music.  These native Australians draw musical inspiration afropop rhythms, and tumbling island guitar.  The duo Marcus Azon and Cameron “Pepper” Knight.  I hope you guys enjoy them.  Here are two of their music videos:
